It’s All Gone D-Mac

Monday, October 30th, 2006

Darren McCarty has filed for bankruptcy amid rumours that his NHL memorabilia may be on the auction block. For his part, McCarty has said that much of the money was swindled away from him by a close friend, although a list of creditors includes the Bellagio and Palms casinos in Las Vegas. Either way, McCarty says he will make every attempt to buy back his hockey keepsakes, which include three Stanley Cup rings.

Is it just me, or wouldn’t we rather believe the money went to crack and hoes? Just saying…

Alpha vs. Beta coaches

I was musing on the fact the Flames suck so far this year, gloating to my brother-in-law Jason about how the Canucks were six points ahead in the standings. (Of course, he pissed on my parade by pointing out Calgary has three games in hand on Vancouver. Asshole. They burn one of those games tonight against Phoenix so, er, Go Gretz!!) (more…)

Back-to-back wins…is it possible?

Canucks win! Flames lose! Woo-hooo!

Friday, October 6th, 2006

Well, so much for all the predictions that the Canucks were going to stink up the conference and be lucky to finish 12th or 13th. Of course, these forecasts were mostly made by the same people who said the Canucks would win the Cup last year and the year before that. (more…)

I’ll sue, I swear, I’ll sue!

What’s with Chelios, Roloson and Klatt suing Saskin and Linden. Klatt? Is he even still playing? (more…)
